Yoga-Laughter Empowerment.
Yoga-laughter is doing practice laughter to trigger real laughter. This happens very quickly, spontaneously & naturally. Yoga-laughter empowerment, trains us to be able to laugh at any time...... whenever we want to. The main thing about this capacity is that it is very empowering, a very useful tool for everyday life. Many situations of modern life are stressful. But it is mostly far healthier to laugh than get stressed, & I mean healthier physically as well as mentally. Because when you laugh the body injects a huge dose of "happy chemicals" in to the blood stream & halts the production of cortisol, the "stress hormone". Laughing, helps you to stay"bouyant" and handle most situations better. A Crazy World?
Viewed from outside, the world we live in is quite crazy sometimes! In so many ways our industrialised society has lost the plot! For example we have stopped living in harmony with nature. In just the last 100 years, we have exploited our environment so much that unless we change our ways, it will become uninhabitable very soon! ............And that’s just one fruit of the weird way we now live. Isolation is another: Community & extended family is diminished..... Stress & anxiety is rampant. Laughter is a great panacea for stress & anxiety but we take ourselves so seriously, we’ve even forgotten how to laugh. I read a study that in 1990, people (on average) laughed half as much as they did in 1970. It’s probably diminished even more in the last 20 years. |
